The long term goal is to provide buildings that are “ZNEB”: Zero Net Energy Buildings.
While an admirable goal, there is a risk that the building occupants will suffer as a result. Recent surveys all show occupants are typically
dissatisfied with the environment we engineers are providing.
The result, if we are not careful, is likely ZNAB: Zero Net Acceptability Buildings.
